National Sun Yat-sen University is recruiting qualified and outstanding foreign students to improve Taiwanese students’ proficiency in the English language.

• After completing an 18-hour English Language Teaching Assistant (ELTA) training courses, qualified foreign students will be selected to serve as ELTA for elementary/middle schools in Kaohsiung.
• ELTAs will be deployed in schools for at least 4 hours per week (12 weeks in total) to conduct activities with the students and provide an English speaker presence in schools, so as to improve Taiwanese students’ English language abilities. Additionally, the program facilitates not only English language learning, but also cross-cultural exchange.
• All ELTAs must take at least one course from the Fulbright ETA program within 12 weeks of in-school teaching. In addition, all ELTAs must participate in the online counseling meeting.
